By Kevin Borba, All Cardinal: Stanford’s football team didn’t have many experienced players heading into the 2023 season, but one of the few that did was senior receiver John Humphreys.
While they had three NFL receivers on the roster the past few seasons, Humphreys was the next guy up and also registered 10 starts in the two seasons prior. With Michael Wilson, Elijah Higgins, and Brycen Tremayne off to the league, Troy Taylor and the offense had Humphreys in a position to emerge as the No. 1 receiver.
