According to national basketball analyst Travis Branham, more than 1,000 players had entered the portal as of Tuesday evening, just a day after the window opened Monday morning. The sheer volume of talent on the move has reshaped the landscape with many big-time prospects already making decisions and more high-profile names expected to follow in the coming days.
The 30-day window closes Tuesday, April 22. Even as the NCAA Tournament progresses with the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight set for this week, the transfer portal frenzy continues to rage on. Drake transfer Bennett Stirtz, the No. 1-rated portal prospect this cycle, is already off the board as he follows coach Ben McCollum to Iowa. However, many other top transfers remain available with programs across the country battling to land impact players ahead of the 2025-26 season.
