By Zachary Neel, Ducks Wire: The Oregon Ducks had every reason to go on the road this week, following an emotional victory and a short week of rest, and not show up against Purdue.
Instead, they went into West Lafayette and pitched their first road shutout since 1992, and first shutout defensively since the 2012 season. It was that type of night for Oregon from the very start. They scored easily on their first three possessions of the game, and never let up defensively, playing near-perfect ball all the way until the final whistle.
Thanks to the dominant showing, we also got to see a lot of young players get in the game late and get some valuable experience, which we’ve wanted to see more of all year.
