Report: UCLA likely to hire Oregon grad assistant as DL coach

By David Woods, Bruin Report Online: UCLA intends to hire Tony Washington Jr., an Oregon graduate assistant, as its defensive line/outside linebacker coach, according to sources.

Washington is a SoCal native who played in the NFL as an outside linebacker. He played at Oregon until 2015 — in fact, was a signee of then Oregon coach Chip Kelly.  Washington went undrafted and then signed with the Houston Texans. He played for the Texans and Tennessee Titans until 2018.
