By Chip Brown, Horns 247: Arizona defensive coordinator Johnny Nansen, who served as an assistant to Steve Sarkisian at Washington and USC, is rejoining Sarkisian as the Longhorns’ new co-defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach, multiple sources told Chip Brown of Horns247 and Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
Nansen will replace Jeff Choate, who has accepted the head-coaching position at Nevada but is continuing to coach with the third-ranked Longhorns (12-1) as they prepare to face No. 2 Washington (13-0) in the College Football Playoff semifinals in the Sugar Bowl at 7:45 pm CT on Jan. 1.
