Ranking MW athletic departments from best to worst in new-look league

By Chris Murray, Nevada Sports Net: The Mountain West will enter a new era in exactly four weeks, which will mark the last day of its current membership before losing San Diego State, Boise State, Fresno State, Colorado State and Utah State to the Pac-12 before welcoming Hawaii and UTEP as full members; UC Davis as a non-football member; and North Dakota State and Northern Illinois as football-only affiliates.

With the new MW taking flight July 1, let’s project the strongest athletic departments in the new-look conference. Below is our ranking of the MW’s full members from best to worst.
