QB Sam Leavitt in transfer portal due to 'hard feelings' with Jonathan Smith

By Andrew Brewster, Spartans Wire: It wasn’t exactly a shock, necessarily, to see that Michigan State football freshman quarterback Sam Leavitt was reported to be entering the transfer portal as soon as he is able.

What was a shock, was a bombshell report from Spartans Illustrated, where Leavitt outlined some ‘hard feelings’ between him and new head coach Jonathan Smith, along with a pretty firm assertion that he doesn’t really plan to come back to MSU.
