In the modern game, there is no more important piece of a roster than a signal-caller who can air it out at an explosive and consistent level, and those players who rank the highest in yardage are often the ones to earn individual hardware and take their teams to special seasons.
Look no further than one season ago. Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., Oregon’s Bo Nix and LSU’s Jayden Daniels ranked Nos. 1-3 in passing yards per game, and each made the trip to the Heisman Trophy ceremony. The 2024 season could produce similar results.
