By Barry Bolton, CougFan: Washington State University is course-correcting a plank in its OneWSU reorganization structure — moving oversight of WSU Athletics from President Kirk Schulz to Pullman Chancellor Elizabeth Chilton — that had drawn puzzlement from Cougar sports fans over the last year given Schulz’ proven expertise in the arena.
Today, WSU announced internally that Schulz would be retaining oversight of athletics. Athletic director Pat Chun will continue to report to him.
