By Carter Bahns, 247Sports: Every college football offseason comes with immense roster turnover, and few openings on depth charts across the sport are as glaring as those left by highly touted NFL draft picks. First-rounders like USC quarterback Caleb Williams and LSU signal-caller Jayden Daniels left Heisman-sized holes on their respective rosters, and the Trojans and Tigers are far from the only teams tasked with replacing elite playmakers with first-year starters.
The quarterback position is, of course, the highest-profile spot on any roster, but stars at other positions passed the torch to the next generation of college football legends this offseason, too. Multiple prolific offenses entirely revamped their receiving corps over the last few months, and some defenses had to plug players into the biggest roles of their careers.
