Oregon State president says athletics revenue could fall 44 percent by 2025

By Nick Daschel, The Oregonian/OregonLive: In a sobering letter written Tuesday to the Oregon State community, university president Jayathi Murthy outlined the financial challenges facing its athletic department because of the Pac-12 breakup.

Murthy wrote that total athletics revenue could fall by as much as 44 percent for fiscal year 2025. Given that OSU’s 2023-24 athletics budget is some $95 million, that’s as drop of about $41 million.
