USC hired Lincoln Riley to take the Trojans to a place they’d never been: the College Football Playoff. As Riley’s second season winds down, it’s USC that’s taken Riley to places he’s never been. Last season, a Riley-coached team lost three games for the first time. Oregon’s deceptively dominant 36-27 win over the Trojans at Autzen Stadium made the 2023 Trojans Riley’s first ever four-loss team.
