By Zachary Neel, Ducks Wire: When you recruit at the level of the Oregon Ducks, each new season is going to bring with it names of standout true freshmen and former 5-stars who are expected to make an immediate impact.
Going into the 2025 season, though, few were expecting true-freshman cornerback Brandon Finney to be the biggest breakout player in Eugene. The former 4-star recruit made an immediate impact with the Ducks, earning a starting spot by Week 1 and never relinquishing it, acting as Oregon’s No. 1 cover corner, and eventually becoming one of the best young CBs in the nation.
