Nick Rolovich says Cougar defense eager to get after it Nick Rolovich said the Cougars are “eager” for Saturday’s opener at Oregon State, and especially on the defensive side. He said defensive coordinator Jake Dickert and Co. have done a nice job getting good work in against the scout team despite the fact they play against a 10-personnel unit (1 RB, 0 tight ends, 4 WRs) when facing the first-team Cougar offense.

The big news coming out of Rolovich’s Monday presser was of course naming true freshman Jayden de Laura the starting quarterback but there were other nuggets as well.
