Bowl season is here and it’s time for my No-Nonsense Postseason Betting Tips.

I may not always be perfect, but if you’ve followed my advice in the past, you’re already ahead of the game.

I went 0-2 in my first postseason picks, bringing my season record to 108-44, good for 72 percent.

Now it’s on to the next round of bowls: the Holiday Bowl, the Las Vegas Bowl, the Arizona Bowl, and the Alamo Bowl.

As always, my selections include incredibly accurate game scores and just enough commentary to keep me drinking too much hot cocoa here in the South Shore District of Seattle.

My cup is almost empty, so let’s get on with the picks!

No. 17 BYU vs. No. 23 Colorado

With all the dying traditions of college football this feels like a matchup with two teams who genuinely want to beat each other. Both teams have a few opt-outs but it appears that all the key stars are going to play in this matchup.

This Big 12 vs. former Pac-12 Bowl Game features two teams who could’ve played for the Big 12 Championship this season.

The key to this game should be whether or not BYU’s defense can handle Shedeur Sanders’ and Colorado’s passing attack. Travis Hunter won the Heisman and is obviously a force on both ends of the field but if they can’t stop Sanders it’ll prove hard to keep up.

The Cougars are without their second-best receiver in Darius Lassiter for the first half, and Colorado has more explosive playmakers at the skill positions. BYU’s best chance is to control the tempo with the combination of Jake Retzlaff, Chase Roberts, and LJ Martin.

None of these guys are lighting fast, but Roberts is an excellent possession receiver who can take over a game swiftly. The Cougs scoring defense also ranks 18th nationally only allowing 20.1 points per game.

BYU is a rising program but Deion Sanders isn’t going to lose his final game with his son.

Buffs dispatch their Big 12 foe.

Colorado 38, BYU 31
