By Steve Samra, On3 Sports: Dan Lanning inked a massive contract extension with Oregon earlier this week. Now, some new figures have been revealed regarding the 38-year old’s salary and buy-out.
According to Steve Berkowitz of USA TODAY Sports, Lanning’s contract total of $65.4 million is fully guaranteed in case he’s fired without cause. Meanwhile, if Lanning decides to move on from Oregon, he would owe the school $20 million. Berkowitz noted that figure did not change from 2024.
The Ducks decided Lanning deserved a raise and restructured his contract with following an incredible season. Lanning led the Ducks to an unbeaten regular season, a Big Ten Championship, and a trip to the College Football Playoff.
