Every head coach has coached or played (or both) for the Broncos before leading the program since 2001. The familiarity — and understanding their always-important “bleed blue” mantra — has played a role in winning 13 conference titles and compiling 224 wins, including three on the big stage at BCS and New Year’s Six Bowls, since 2000.
