A few years removed from being the belle of college football, there he sat, behind a plastic folding table with microphones taped atop it, searching for words after Southern Cal’s 29-28 loss to Maryland.
More than 2,600 miles from his home base of Los Angeles and 1,700 miles from his hometown of Muleshoe, Texas, Riley must’ve felt as lost as he sounded.
