Miami out of Sun Bowl against WSU due to COVID-19 issues in football program

By Andrea Adelson, ESPN: Miami will not be able to participate in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl against Washington State because of COVID-19 issues, the school announced Sunday.

Last week, Miami delayed its departure for the game until the day before kickoff in an effort to be able to play.

Miami out of Sun Bowl due to COVID-19 issues

Miami said it didn't have enough players to safely compete against Washington State, while the Sun Bowl Association said it is looking for an opponent to face the Cougars in the game still scheduled for Friday.
