With the pending departure of USC and UCLA, San Diego State’s ability to capture some of the SoCal television market makes them a very appealing option.

But their appeal goes far beyond that as well for Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff.

On today’s episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin looks at the school many consider to be the league’s top option.

Despite the LA schools departing, could nonconference matchups with USC and UCLA be worthwhile on the football field?

One “out-of-the-box” option for the league, probably down the road, could be a massive conference merger with another.
