He had success helping the Green Wave reach 12 wins and a Cotton Bowl victory this year, but how else might Coach Hampton have landed on Lanning’s radar for the open coaching position?
On today’s episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin is joined by Tulane radio play-by-play broadcaster Corey Gloor to provide insight on the Ducks’ newest coach.
He shares what made Coach Hampton an appealing coaching hire for Dan Lanning and what he brought to the Green Wave’s defense for the last two seasons as defensive coordinator.
Hampton will have two returning players to coach in his position group in Steve Stephens IV and Jamal Hill who announced they are returning to the Ducks. Where could they fit in rotationally in 2023?
