McLaughlin: Potential Amazon-Pac-12 Partnership Problems

The potential of the Pac-12 and Commissioner George Kliavkoff using Amazon as a media rights partner for its next broadcast deal is very possible.

But could that pose an obstacle as the league’s future football teams try and schedule quality non-conference opponents?

On today’s episode of Locked On Pac-12, I examine examines a couple of different angles pertaining to the future of the conference and its layout/presentation.

The Amazon option is appealing, but having a traditional partner like ESPN may still be in the league’s best interests.

One listener proposes an ambitious expansion idea that would involve poaching a team from another Power 5 conference.

Though perhaps not realistic, that sort of mentality is one the conference should carry when thinking about its next move.
