The state of Texas could have several options, but long-term expansion teams might go beyond the Lone Star State.
Pac-12 Presidents and Athletic Directors recently created a media flurry to cast dispersions on the idea that the conference is on the brink of collapse.
Since then, nobody has spoken and no deal has materialized.
