Kalen DeBoer has had to deal with a lot of departures from his would-be roster upon arriving at Alabama, only to then stabilize things with key transfer portal additions.

Now, his OC Ryan Grubb has gone to the NFL and took their OL coach with him to the Seahawks. That presents a serious challenge for DeBoer.

On today’s episode of Locked On College Football, I also talk about UCLA’s dire roster problem and whether bringing in a recruiting-focused head coach is the right move. (This segment was recorded before the hire of DeShaun Foster.)

Realignment in college sports has landed SMU in the power ranks as a member of the ACC.

With a favorable schedule and a talented roster under Rhett Lashlee, the Mustangs are poised to make real noise in the ACC in their first season.
