By Spencer McLaughlin of Locked on CFB for SuperWest Sports

The Ducks nearly had four in the 2023 cycle but ended up with just two.
The standard has been set on that front, and Dan Lanning and is his staff are working to raise the bar for how many 5-star recruits they bring in.
On this episode of Locked On Ducks, I’m joined by Max Torres who covers Oregon for Fan Nation at Sports Illustrated and hosts the ‘Ducks Dish’ podcast.
We discuss the growing list of 5-star names that Oregon is after and are in a good position for as they look to build upon their recent recruiting momentum.
Recruiting 5-stars is only half of the battle though, as Oregon has seen those kids (just like others) have to be properly coached and developed to reach their full potential.
We discuss how despite the hit rate not being 100%, the mindset is the correct one for Dan Lanning and the Ducks.
