The Pac-12 media deal still isn’t here, nor are any announcements regarding expansion.
San Diego State and SMU are the most logical options, but other candidates have been discussed for now or in the future.
The correct move for now given the timing of realignment is to add 2 schools.
On today’s episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin lays out the argument for expanding the Conference with two schools instead of four.
Plus, some football talk looking at how ESPN’s football power index (FPI) positions Pac-12 schools this year—which just happens to be in favorable fashion.
Realignment moves today become history tomorrow, and more than a few moves have been made in the past.
Spencer looks at 2 schools in particular within the Pac-12’s footprint, Montana and Idaho, and examines why those state schools are not in the Power 5.
