Deadlines and timelines (not official ones) have been bypassed several times over the last couple of months as the Pac-12 works to finalize its next media deal.
We’ve all waited for months to see the outcome, so what exactly could be driving this extended delay in completing the deal?
There might be a logical explanation for the long wait.
On today’s episode of Locked On Pac-12, I’m joined by John Canzano of 750 The Game.
He shares insight from sources he talks to within the Pac-12 with regard to what is taking the deal so long to complete.
John also discusses the possibility of the Pac-12 beating the Big 12’s media distribution under their deal of $31.6 million per school per year, something Pac-12 administrators have described to him as “a layup” to surpass.
San Diego State and SMU could be a key role in getting there, but if that happens what comes next for the Pac-12?
