Local high school coach with seven state titles to coach ASU tight ends

By Chris Karpman, SunDevil Source: Jason Mohns, who led Scottsdale Saguaro High School to seven state championships in the last 11 seasons as head coach, is expected to leave the school to become Arizona State’s tight ends coach, people with knowledge of the development told Sun Devil Source.

A 2004 ASU graduate, Mohns became the first coach in Arizona history to win six straight state championships from 2013-18, earning AIA Divison III Coach of the year honors in 2013 and 2014 as well as National Football Foundation Arizona Football Coach of the year in 2015 and Arizona Cardinals High School Football Coach of the Year in 2017.
