He didn’t wait to become a starter to take a starter’s mindset into how he prepares for games and practices. Earlier in his time at Troy, two different coaching staffs encouraged him to let it fly and push the ball downfield more often. Moss fired touchdown passes of 29, 31 and 44 yards among the half dozen he tossed in the Holiday Bowl win over Louisville.
Earlier in the season he found Duce Robinson for a 71-yard pass to Duce Robinson. Moss’ distance per target actually exceeded that of Caleb Williams last season.
