Dawgman: Washington Football was supposed to kick off its first season under head coach Jimmy Lake this past Saturday, but that didn’t happen after the Huskies’ season-opener vs. Cal Berkeley was postponed due to a COVID-19 issue within the Golden Bears program.
Although just one positive COVID-19 test was reported within the Cal program, local contact-tracing protocols eliminated an entire position group from participating, resulting in total cancellation of the contest as the Pac-12 looks to complete a truncated season.
