LA Chargers expected to trade up for Penei Sewell if available after 5th pick

By Geoffrey C. Arnold, The Oregonian/OregonLive: Penei Sewell is viewed as the top offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL draft and he is expected to be among the players selected early in the first round.

A number of teams are interested in the former Oregon Ducks’ offensive lineman following the expected selection of a quarterback by the top-three or four teams. The Los Angeles Chargers, who need a left tackle, are reportedly interested in Sewell. Sewell said the potential of reuniting with Chargers’ quarterback and former Duck teammate Justin Herbert would be a “dream come true.”
