By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: John Mateer had the best game of his Washington State career on Saturday and Jake Dickert believes it could serve as a guide for the third-year quarterback. Through seven games as a starter, WSU has been working to find the right balance for Mateer that keeps him throwing with accuracy, but not at the expense of using his elite mobility.
“I never want John swinging too far, saying you’re scrambling too much, then you have to stay back there,” Dickert said during his Monday press conference.
