By Jamey Vinnick, Cougfan.com: Washington State will deploy a two-man system for holding kicks going forward. With punter and traditional holder Nick Haberer back from injury this week, he will return to hold field goals for Dean Janikowski. But as far as extra points, Jake Dickert said on Wednesday that Wazzu will stick with John Mateer.
“It’ll be a little bit of both,” Dickert said. “We’ll probably keep John on extra points so we can do our gate plays; just that way that threat’s always out there when John’s out there. It’s a whole different thing vs. field goals, so that’s kind of how we’ll proceed going forward.”
