By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: New Washington State men’s basketball coach David Riley and his staff are in the process of building the Cougars’ 2024-25 schedule — and finding out the challenge of convincing high-major teams to trek to Pullman.
As the Cougars head to the WCC for the next two seasons, Riley is looking to take a page out of Gonzaga’s scheduling handbook: play an array of high majors in the non-conference portion of the slate to bolster its RPI.
