Among the award’s top candidates, those who came out on the winning end saw their odds improve, and while the honor has been largely reserved for quarterbacks in recent years, Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon and Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. continued to make strong cases.
