Hawai'i's Aloha Stadium demolition signals long-awaited progress on new venue

By Timothy Hessen, The Sporting Tribune via Yahoo Sports: The demolition of Hawai’i’s Aloha Stadium is finally underway after several delays.

Once home to the NFL Pro Bowl, college football’s Hawaiʻi Bowl and University of Hawaiʻi football, Aloha Stadium is transitioning into a new scaled-down stadium with an accompanying entertainment district.

As part of the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) project, the new stadium is set for a projected grand opening in March 2029, and is expected to have a seating capacity of 22,500, less than half of the previous 50,000 seats it held.
