Grand Canyon is back in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last five years.

The Lopes beat Saint Mary’s in the First Round last season and have one of the top players in the country.

Tyon Grant-Foster averages 14.5 points per game and scored 28 in the Round of 64 last season. Can he do enough to rattle the Terps?

Bryce Drew has built a strong culture in Phoenix and brought the program to the next level while doing so.

But Maryland is by far the toughest opponent GCU has faced this season.

The Terps have a highly efficient offense that puts up points. They average 81.7 points per game and are No. 55 nationally in field goal percentage.

That’s a problem for a GCU team that turns the ball over too often. The champions of the WAC cough it up 13.2 times per game, which is No. 300 nationally.

Even worse, Maryland is No. 37 in the country in turnovers forced per game.

That’s an analytical nightmare for GCU that spells trouble.
