Gary Patterson, USC hire Baylor's Paul Gonzales as defensive backs coach

By Adam Bradford, Trojans Wire: Last week, USC hired longtime TCU head coach Gary Patterson as its new defensive coordinator. With any new coordinator hire, there will likely be several other hires on the staff as well. So who will be joining Patterson’s defensive staff in Los Angeles?

Well, we now know one name. On Tuesday, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that USC hiring Baylor defensive pass game coordinator Paul Gonzales. While Gonzales’s exact role with the Trojans is yet to be confirmed, he will be working with USC’s defensive backs.
