By Steve Wiltfong, Duck Territory: Gordo (Ala.) High four-star quarterback Tanner Bailey announced his commitment to Oregon on Monday afternoon, choosing the Ducks over South Carolina, Mississippi State and several others.
Bailey is tabbed by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 9 pro-style passer and No. 219 prospect overall. He is commitment No. 6 for head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff in the 2022 recruiting cycle, adding to a haul that rises six spots to No. 17 early in the cycle. The two-time defending Pac 12 champs on the field are looking to finish No. 1 for a fourth-straight time in their league on the trail as they close on USC who currently sits at No. 11.
