By Chris Karpman, Sun Devil Source: Arizona State’s white-hot start in 2022 recruiting continued Saturday with its earliest-ever addition in a class of the third commitment from a prospect rated at four-stars on the 247Sports Composite.
Alfonzo Allen, the No. 14 safety and No. 243 overall prospect in the class, joined Hallandale (Fla.) High teammate and fellow four-star defensive back Jaylin Marshall on the Sun Devils’ commit list when he announced his decision on Instagram. The development makes ASU one of just three teams in the country, along with Florida and Florida State, to have a pledge from two of the state’s top-50 recruits. Allen is No. 28 in Florida and Marshall is No. 24.
