By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: Like it or not, college football is officially in its transfer portal era. Four of the last five Heisman-winning QBs were transfers.
Seven of the top eight players in the 2023 Heisman Trophy odds are transfers. Every starting QB in the Pac-12 could be a transfer. The 2023 NFL Draft saw 52 transfers selected, including five first-rounders, up significantly from 2022’s mark of 37, which itself was up big from 2021.
