By Steve Bartle, UteZone: The University of Utah has received a very significant commitment from UNLV Rebels transfer, David Jenkins. This is a significant addition for Craig Smith as the new Utah basketball head coach. Jenkins joins the team as a capable scorer and has familiarity with assistant coach Demarlo Slocum.
He’s knocked down 270 3-point shots in his three years of action and with that kind of shooting prowess Jenkins fits in nicely on the roster and fills a much needed role. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, which provides him with the necessary size to defend in the backcourt.
