USCFootball: Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Chad Wheeler was arrested this past weekend on suspicion of felony domestic violence, according to a report by Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. Wheeler, a former undrafted free agent out of USC who spent most of the 2020 season on the Seahawks’ practice squad, has been accused of assaulting his girlfriend at a residence in Kent, Washington.
A report by the Kent Police Department states that the incident began when Wheeler asked the victim to “bow to him”, and that he grabbed her and threw her on a bed when she did not do so. Wheeler then allegedly strangled the victim to the point where she lost consciousness – She regained consciousness later, to which Wheeler responded “Wow, you’re alive?” while he was still standing beside the bed.
