247Sports: A former NFL player was shot and killed by police Nov. 30 in Phoenix, Ariz. KTAR News reported that Ekom Udofia, 33, was shot killed while wielding a BB gun at officers after running in and out of street traffic.
Udofia, a defensive tackle who played collegiately at Stanford before spending time with the Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints, reportedly suffered from mental health issues. Police said Udofia was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
