By Daniel Libit, Sportico: A former walk-on men’s basketball player at the University of New Mexico, who claims he was bullied and battered by a team starter to the disregard of his school and coaching staff, is attempting to amend his lawsuit against the school to include his alleged assailant as a defendant.
At the same time, Shane Douma-Sanchez is attempting to highlight what he contends are the broader dangers of the current name, image and likeness system in college sports.
