Dawgman: More than eight months removed from offseason hip surgery, longtime NBA point guard Isaiah Thomas is reportedly returning to basketball. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the former Washington Huskies star has committed to play for Team USA in the AmericaCup qualifying tournament.
The event is scheduled to take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from Feb. 19-20. Wojnarowski also noted that the tournament will give Thomas an opportunity to make a case for a return to the NBA.
