By Dylan McNeill, UCLA Wire: Former NFL quarterback Derek Carr never attended UCLA but that didn’t stop Bob Chesney and the Bruins from welcoming the 4x Pro Bowler from attending a UCLA practice this past week.
Carr was born in Bakersfield, California and opted to stay local for his college career. Carr had an illustrious career with the Fresno State Bulldogs before getting drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the second round.
From there, Carr had a very successful NFL career. Carr played 11 seasons in the NFL, nine with the Raiders before heading to New Orleans for two seasons with the Saints.
