The former Arizona Wildcats football coach has been named the head coach of the UFL’s Houston Gamblers. This is Sumlin’s second stint leading the Gamblers after coaching the team in 2022 to a 3-7 record when the Gamblers were part of the USFL.
Sumlin built his coaching reputation in Houston, where he led the University of Houston Cougars from 2008-2011.
