By Will Backus, 247Sports: After a thrilling slate of regionals that saw its fair share of upsets and plenty of decisive games come down to the wire, only 16 teams are left in the NCAA Baseball Tournament’s super regional field, which begins play Friday. Those that made the cut are set to take the diamond this weekend with a coveted spot in the College World Series on the line.
One of the greatest stories of the tournament thus far is Evansville, which beat host East Carolina to win the Greenville Regional as a 4-seed and secure its first super regional appearance in program history. But do the Purple Aces have a realistic shot at making the College World Series?
