Expect Big Ten, SEC to have near monopoly in 12-team College Football Playoff

By Gene Frenette, Florida Times-Union via Yahoo Sports: The results of the recent College Football Playoff rankings, though the final vote is still four weeks away, did nothing to change the predictable narrative in the first year of expansion to a 12-team playoff.

As suspected when the Big Ten Conference helped blow up the Pac-12 to expand to 18 teams, and the SEC pilfered Texas and Oklahoma from the Big 12, those two big-brother leagues will monopolize the postseason party.
